When a campus starts a TinkerHub campus chapter, individuals must apply and pass through a campus community application process each year. Here's a detailed explanation of the structure.
1. Criteria Process
- Eligibility:
- Any student from a Kerala campus can apply to establish a campus community in their college. There are no restrictions based on the field of study or year of education. However, we recommend that final-year students avoid taking on the role of campus leads to ensure uninterrupted contributions and a smooth leadership transition.
- Selection:
- Criteria include past involvement in tech activities, leadership qualities, and a vision for the campus chapter.
- Exclusive Commitment:
- Applicants should not hold any other leadership roles during their tenure as TinkerHub campus leads. This ensures they can dedicate their time and efforts fully to the TinkerHub community. If anyone finds a part-time job or any other opportunity after taking the lead position, we will help them transition out effectively.
2. Application Process
- Students interested in establishing a TinkerHub campus community at their college can apply for the TinkerHub Campus Leads Program.
- Applications will be accepted through the TinkerHub website.
- In the application, students will need to provide details about their background, experiences, motivation, and vision for the campus chapter.
3. Selection Process
Initial Screening
- The TinkerHub Foundation team will review all applications received.
- Applications will be evaluated based on criteria such as past involvement in tech activities, leadership qualities, and the proposed vision for the campus chapter.
Interviews
- Shortlisted applicants from the initial screening will proceed to the interview round.
- Interviews will assess the applicants' communication skills, passion for learning, and understanding of TinkerHub's mission and values.
Final Selection
- Based on the application and interview performance, a limited number of campuses will be selected to have a TinkerHub campus community.
- The top applicant(s) from each selected campus will be designated as the Campus Lead(s) for that chapter.
